Changelog

Changes to the v2 API that affect callers.

What appears here

  • New endpoints, and new optional parameters on existing ones
  • New fields in responses
  • Deprecations, with the date support ends
  • Corrections to documented behaviour
  • New major versions

What does not

Internal changes with no effect on the contract — performance work, refactoring, infrastructure, and fixes that bring behaviour back in line with what was already documented. If it does not change what you send or what you can rely on receiving, it will not be listed.

Reading an entry

Entries are dated and grouped by the kind of change:

  • Added — new surface. Safe to ignore until you want it.
  • Changed — existing behaviour is different. Read these.
  • Deprecated — still works, with an end date. Plan a migration.
  • Removed — gone. Only ever in a new major version.

Detecting changes yourself

The OpenAPI document is public and generated from the running service, so you can diff it rather than waiting to read about a change:

curl -s https://api.taigacloud.com/openapi.json > openapi.new.json
diff <(jq -S . openapi.old.json) <(jq -S . openapi.new.json)

Tools such as oasdiff will classify the result and tell you whether anything is breaking. Worth running in CI if you generate a client from the document — see SDK.
